Interference by tubing material in continuous-flow systems.
An anomalous behavior in the measurement of calcium with the smac multi-channel high-speed analyzer was eliminated by taking the diluted serum directly from the dilution loop of the instrument before it enters the stainless-steel riser.
متن کاملContinuous flow coupling and decarboxylation reactions promoted by copper tubing.
A convenient and efficient flow method for Ullmann condensations, Sonogashira couplings, and decarboxylation reactions using a commercially available copper tube flow reactor (CTFR) is described. The heated CTFR effects these transformations without added metals (e.g., Pd), ligands, or reagents, and in greater than 90% yield in most cases examined.
متن کاملMaterial Flow in Rotary Drums
The experimental investigation of material flow in rotary drums is studied. An equipment in the size of pilot-scale was used to collect experimental data for investigation of validity of the conventional steady-state model of material flow in rotary drums. Also, the transient data of the time required for material movement in the empty drum up to any specified cross section are also reported. T...
متن کاملDrag Reduction by Surfactant Solutions in Gravity Driven Flow Systems
Efflux time measurements are carried out for gravity draining of a liquid from a large cylindrical tank (where the flow is essentially laminar) through single exit pipe in the absence and presence of Cetyl Pyridinium Chloride (CPC) surfactant solutions. The variables considered are initial height of liquid in the tank, dia. of tank, length of the exit pipe and concentration of surfactant. T...
متن کاملCalibration in process monitoring by using unsegmented continuous-flow systems
An overview is presented of the different aspects of the role of analytical chemistry in process monitoring and control. On-line monitoring is currently the most attractive option in this area, especially with unsegmented-flow techniques. In addition to allowing automation of these systems, the variety of ways in which calibration and recalibration can be performed allows their adaptation to an...
